Not a passive investor—instead proven entrepreneurs and operators working to build businesses
Tru Holding Partners was founded with an entrepreneurial and operational mindset at our core. After successfully partnering with a successful operating business, we plan on leveraging our experience developed from scaling businesses and completing 40+ acquisitions and integrations to successfully grow the business.
We know that the lifeblood of any organization is its team, and we are committed to growing the business and building a world-class team.
Our philosophy is simple: every business owner's situation and transition plan are different, and our partnership should reflect that reality.
We are looking to acquire an established business with a unique approach that puts owner flexibility first. Unlike rigid private equity models or traditional search fund structures, we customize each partnership around what the business owner actually wants—whether that's remaining deeply involved, focusing only on your favorite aspects of the business, or stepping away entirely to pursue new adventures.
We love durable businesses that are not easily replaceable
We look for profitable businesses with greater than $5 million of revenue operating in fragmented industries that are growing more than 3% annually. We will acquire a majority of the business and work with owner(s) to develop a succession and transition plan that accomplishes their goals.
Brandon R. Halcott is the Managing Partner and Founder of Tru Holding Partners. Brandon grew up on a corn, soybean, and beef cattle farm in Central Illinois. It was during his youth that his father provided him with his first lessons on entrepreneurship and building a business.
In 2014, Brandon co-founded Tru Family Dental with the acquisition of a single dental practice. Over the next five years, Tru Family grew to over 30 practices and over 300 team members. In 2020, Tru Family was purchased by Heartland Dental, resulting in an exceptional outcome for everyone involved.
Brandon lives in Utah with his wife Jennie and their four children: Marie, Will, Evie, and Theo.
If you're a business owner wondering about your transition options, we'd welcome a confidential conversation about how our flexible approach might work for your situation.
Every business owner's situation is unique. Our approach should be too.
